1940 - Indian Four 4-Cylinder with Indian Sidecar for sale in Lorain, Ohio

$3,850

'''''''''''''''''''''For sale here we have a stunning example of pre-WWII American motorcycle history. Indian described their Four-Cylinder model as "The World's Most Beautiful Motorcycle." One look at this machine proves it. This bike was painstakingly restored and lovingly ridden for many years by my grandfather in Northern Ohio. The frame and engine numbers match. Exact year of the sidecar is unknown; however, this model sidecar was first available from Indian in 1939. Bike has a clean and clear Ohio title and has been owned and registered to my grandfather for over 20 years. The engine was completely rebuilt approximately 10 years ago and has around 1,000 miles on it since the rebuild. Everything that could be kept original was kept original. There is a weld/repair on rear of the engine case as shown in the photos. This bike was last ridden in summer of 2012. Local pickup in Oberlin, Ohio is STRONGLY preferred. If you want this bike shipped we can deliver it to your choice of carrier within 20 miles of Oberlin, Ohio for $100. CRATING IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER! If you bring a truck we have ramps, a dock, and a forkilift available and will help you load it. Terms of sale are $500 PayPal deposit due within 24 hours of auction end, remainder to be paid upon pickup or before the bike leaves our facility. Remainder to be paid in cash, cashier's check, or USPS Money Orders. This is a very rare opportunity to own a near-museum quality piece of American motorcycling history. Bid high, bid often-- only the last one counts! ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''
